Join us in Egypt in August 2028 for this healing and expansive journey to the mystical sacred waters of Kemet. Our timing is harmonised with the rise of the constellation Sirius, a period known as the 'Sacred Inundation' of the Ancient Egyptian calendar, a cycle of renewal and fertility. We will sail into this pilgrimage with powerful intentions of practice to hold and tune into cellular healing, heart expansion, personal renewal, and healing for the planet.
Boarding our luxury private sailing vessel, Fayrouz Sanctuary, we will spend the next several days sailing, engaging with the beautiful culture of upper Egypt, swimming in the holy river Nile, and stopping off at powerful temples. Practicing meditation and yoga, experiencing activating rituals of sound and ceremony, all while learning the deeply spiritual wisdom of Egypt from our teacher and guide Hassan along the way.
We will soak ourselves in the sacred waters while sending out prayers, focusing intentions, enjoying ease, luxury, and incredible hospitality for a truly unforgettable pilgrimage.
A percentage of the cost of this journey will be contributed to the stewards of the Nubian & Nile landscape to support a local enterprise that nourishes the Children of The Nile.

Fayrouz Sanctuary is not simply a Dahabiya (traditional Egyptian sailing ship). It is a state of being. Born from a vision to glide softly—unlike any other vessel on the Nile—it was conceived as a moving retreat, where silence is intentional, comfort instinctive, and every detail exists with purpose. Its form draws from ancient Egypt’s sacred sun boats—vessels of passage, renewal, and reverence. Who are the Hosts & Guides on The Sacred Waters Retreat?
Uschi Gibson & Jaina Two Rivers have been hosting retreats in Egypt, India, and a worldwide community since 2010. Both of them bring three decades of experience in yoga, meditation, movement, healing, and spiritual modalities to the sacred container of the retreat. Engaging in daily practices, ceremonies, and intentional focus on healing renewal, Jaina and Uschi hold the space for each guest to unfurl into a deepened experience of their unique beauty and gifts, while transforming their DNA through prayers, rituals, and intentions. This will be their 5th retreat in Egypt.
Dr Hassan Kamal is an esteemed Egyptologist & Kemetologist, with over two decades of experience guiding groups through Egypt's ancient landscape. Bringing his passion and huge breadth of wisdom to the entire experience, Hassan's discourses throughout the retreat allow guests to feel the magic and wisdom of Egypt deep in their spiritual heart.
Mr Rabie Khaled is the owner of Fayrouz Sanctuary, and the Sacred Waters host company, Unknown Egypt Travel. As an Egyptologist, and generational expert in tourism and guiding in Egypt, Rabie brings his immense love and devotion for his sacred homeland to all he holds the space for throughout the journeys.
